Angelique Francis isn’t just another name in the blues scene—she’s a force. A multi-instrumentalist with a voice that shakes the rafters, Francis channels the spirit of blues, soul, gospel, and rock with the kind of authenticity that comes from deep musical roots. Born in Ottawa, she picked up her first instrument at a young age, but by 13, she was already making waves, penning a theme song for The Gayle King Show on Oprah’s network. By 14, she was holding her own on festival stages, opening for heavyweights like Beth Hart and Shemekia Copeland—no easy feat for anyone, let alone a teenager.
